Minutes from March 29th meeting

Sober Grad Nite 2010

29 March 2010

Bob’s Ranch House, Etna

Next meeting April 19, 7 p.m.  at Bob’s Ranch House

Agenda and Discussion

 1.  All decorations have been moved to the PAL building.  Josh Short, Etna PD, has said that the building can be used for grad night activities.

Discussion:  There were questions about moving students from the high school to the PAL building and back.  There were concerns expressed about keeping the group together.  Also, who would supervise them as they move and how would they be moved?—walking or in vehicles.

 2.  Layout of activities needs to go to Kayla Nadig.  The plan was given to her at the meeting.

 3.  Do we know where the storage building is toing to sit?  Is it going to stay where it is?  Discussion:  Rich Cloutman offered to remove the wheels and get it sited properly.  A senior student is going to paint it as his senior project.

4.  Bake sales are Saturday May 8 at both Rays in the Valley..

Discussion:  The date needed to be changed as the Valley Oaks Senior’s group had a prior call on the original date in Fort Jones.  The Asst. Manager who gave us the original O.K. did not have that previous commitment on the calendar.

Please take baked goods at 9:30 to either Rays.  The selling hours are planned to be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Hopefully we will sell out before 2 p.m.  If you have any questions call Mary Hiett  467-5711 for Etna Rays and Mari Kraus 468-5986 for Fort Jones Rays.

 5.  Mary Hiett presented the idea of selling Vinyl clings that feature a logo or design.  Additional items such as a student name or number can be added.  There are a great many designs available including sports, music and others. The group voted to move ahead rapidly on this.  The clings will cost $12.00 with $1.00 extra for each additional item added to the design.  Mary will get the information out via student bulletin and EHS newsletter if it is not too late.  If we sell 100 we will make $600.00 in profit.

6.  All Raffle Tickets and Money needs to be turned in to Deborah Kast 468-2791 by April 23.  If you have questions because you are selling tickets after April 23  at Rays or plan to sell at the Rodeo on May 2 please call Deborah and talk with her.

7.  Don’t forget the bake sales.  If questions call Mary Hiett.

The group (more volunteers are welcome) will meet at 10:00 a.m. Sunday (March 7) morning at the sheds up behind the football field. For those who have agreed to sell raffle tickets at Rays on Saturdays, please contact Deborah well in advance for tickets. We have been selling between 10 and 15 books at each location on a Saturday.
